EDITORIAL PRINCIPLES

Evidence first. Interpretation made clear.

Trust depends on being able to see where a statement comes from—and where our judgement begins.

Primary sources first

We prioritize official regulatory documents and original publications. Entries identify the source, edition and relevant section wherever available. Short summaries do not replace the complete source.

Requirement versus interpretation

Source summaries and quotations are explicitly labelled. Clean Validated interpretation, recommended practice and audit questions appear in separate sections. Guidance is not presented as legislation.

Dates and versions

A source publication date is different from our publication date. We retain document versions and stable reference IDs so that a correction does not erase the history of a citation.

Sponsorship and independence

Sponsored content must be clearly marked. Sponsors do not control editorial conclusions. This website contains no sponsored placements.

The same principles apply to the CV Brief

The CV Brief is a newsletter, not a second editorial standard. In every issue we distinguish between:

  • what the regulator actually says,
  • professional interpretation,
  • and practical recommendations.

Regulatory information is traced back to primary sources wherever possible; where a source cannot be verified, it is not presented as settled fact. The CV Brief is not sponsored and carries no paid placements.
